Renegades Baseball Club – 2027
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Renegades Baseball Club?
The Renegades Baseball Club was established in 2023 with one simple mission: to provide a fun, high-level, development-first baseball experience in a positive, inclusive community environment.
Over the past four seasons, we've watched our players grow tremendously, both on the field and off, and with that growth has come the desire to expand and refine our programs and approach to baseball development. With that in mind, beginning in 2027, we are excited to introduce a clearly defined player development pathway that allows players as young as 6 to receive the level of instruction, competition, and commitment that's right for them.
What are the Renegades Academy and Renegades Showcase programs?
Beginning in 2027, the Renegades Baseball Club will offer two player development pathways.
Renegades Academy
The Academy is our Tournament Track, designed for committed players who have demonstrated the ability to compete at the High-A to AA level.
Players in the Academy program receive expanded professional instruction, additional practice opportunities, and compete in a more traditional tournament schedule—without falling into the "every weekend tournament" model.
Renegades Showcase
The Showcase Program is our Rec-Plus Development Track.
Showcase teams follow the popular Rec-Plus model, allowing players to develop competitive skills against quality competition in an environment that's best for their current stage of development.
Players compete in Bargersville Little League during the spring before representing the Renegades in the Sunday Showcase League and postseason tournaments.
How do I know which program is right for my player?
The Academy Program is generally the best fit for players (and families) who:
Demonstrate the ability to compete at the High-A to AA level
Want additional professional instruction throughout the year
Enjoy tournament baseball
Are prepared for a greater time commitment
The Showcase Program is ideal for players who:
Are continuing to develop their skills
Want to play both Rec baseball and competitive Showcase games
Prefer a more balanced schedule
Aspire to eventually move into the Academy pathway
If you're unsure which program is the best fit, we're happy to meet individually with your family to discuss your player's development and goals.

We're excited to partner with The Farm – Indy for high-level off-season training at one of Central Indiana’s premiere baseball development facilities. Located on the campus of the Indiana State Fairgrounds, The Farm features:
20,000-square-foot indoor training facility
10 batting cages
Over 10,000 square feet of turf
Dedicated pitching lab
Position-specific instruction
Professional instructors, including former Major League players such as Dillon Peters
Academy players will participate in twelve professionally led two-hour Sunday morning development sessions throughout the winter.
What if my player plays another sport?
We encourage multi-sport athletes.
If an Academy player has recurring Sunday conflicts because of another sport or activity, we'll offer a hybrid participation option whenever possible so players can continue developing while honoring other commitments.
Every situation is different, so we encourage families to reach out and discuss scheduling conflicts with us.
Will there still be evaluations and tryouts?
Yes – there will be designated dates/times for current Renegades players as well as those looking to tryout for the 2027 season:
New Players
Players who did not participate in the Renegades during the 2026 season must attend our July public tryouts (or contact us at: renegadesbaseballclub1@gmail.com to set up a private tryout).
Based on their current skill level and experience, players may receive an invitation to either the Academy or Showcase Program.
Current Renegades Players
Current players do not attend the July public tryouts.
Instead:
Families complete the 2027 Interest Form.
Academy invitations begin during the week of July 13 for selected returning players.
All current players will participate in Academy/Showcase evaluations during the week of August 10 to finalize team placements.
Is the Renegades a "cut" program?
No – one of the founding principles of the Renegades has always been providing opportunities for kids to continue developing.
While Academy roster spots are naturally more limited and based on current skill-level, our goal is to place as many players as possible on an Academy or Showcase team where they'll be challenged appropriately and continue progressing. Even if a player is not ready for competitive gameplay, we will work out an individual development pathway if they have the desire to put in the additional training.
The number of teams offered each year depends on player interest, coach availability, and overall roster composition.
What ages will the Renegades offer in 2027?
Academy (Tentative)
9U
10U (up to two teams)
11U (up to two teams)

How much will the programs cost?
Final pricing is still being finalized.
Because we've significantly increased our investment in professional instruction, facilities, uniforms, and player development, the Academy Program will cost more than previous Renegades seasons.
The Showcase Program will also see a modest increase while continuing to provide one of the strongest values in competitive youth baseball.
Complete pricing will be released before player commitments are due.
Will fundraising opportunities be available?
Absolutely.
Keeping baseball affordable remains one of our highest priorities.
We're building a comprehensive fundraising program that will include:
Organization-wide fundraising opportunities
Individual player fundraising opportunities
Team fundraising opportunities
These programs are designed to substantially reduce out-of-pocket expenses for families.
If financial considerations are preventing your player from participating, please contact us directly. We'd appreciate the opportunity to discuss options before you make a decision.
Why are players strongly encouraged (or required) to participate in Bargersville Little League?
The Renegades Program was intentionally built around the belief that all players can benefit from a strong community Rec league. Playing in Bargersville Little League provides the opportunity for players of all abilities the chance to compete with and against friends while gaining additional game reps at a variety of positions.
We believe the combination of a competitive community Rec league with higher-level travel and showcase opportunities will help to create one of the best developmental environments available for the area’s young players.
How do I sign up?
Current Renegades families should complete the 2027 Interest Form that was emailed to them.
New families should register for our July tryouts once registration opens.
